Automation triggers and actions
A reference of every event you can trigger on and every action an automation can run.
Updated June 17, 2026
This page lists what automations can respond to (triggers) and what they can do (actions). For how to build one, see Create your first automation.
Triggers
Common events that can start an automation:
- Booking made or canceled
- Invoice sent, paid, or overdue
- Contract signed
- Project stage changed
- Form submitted
- A date reached (for example, a set number of days before or after a shoot)
Conditions
Optional filters that narrow when an automation runs, for example by brand, project type, or amount.
Actions
What an automation can do when it runs:
- Send an email to the client or a teammate
- Create a task for you or your team
- Move the project to another stage
- Send a file or form
- Wait a set time before the next action
Note
Actions run in order, so you can chain them: send a thank-you, wait three days, then ask for a review.
