Change the name Gliss calls you
Set the name in your greeting and account menu — useful if you signed up with a shared address like info@ or hello@.
Updated August 5, 2026
Gliss greets you by name on your home screen and shows your initials in the account menu. You choose that name — it is yours, not your business's, and your clients never see it. They see your brand.
Set or change it
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Type what you want to be called in Your name.
- Choose Save. Your greeting updates right away.
The field shows what you are currently greeted as underneath, so you can check the change landed.
If you were being called something odd
When you have not set a name, Gliss works one out from your email address — the part before the @, capitalized. That reads well for a personal address: elena@evergreen.com becomes Elena.
It reads badly for a shared one. If you signed up as info@evergreen.com, hello@, or bookings@, you were being greeted as Info, Hello, or Bookings. Setting your name in Settings → Profile replaces the guess.
What it affects
- The greeting on your home screen.
- The initials on your account menu.
It does not change your sign-in email, anything your clients see, or the name on your invoices and contracts — those come from your brand. To change what clients see, go to Customize your branding.
